We respect your privacy. This app is built to be simple and safe. We do not sell your data to anyone. Here is a clear explanation of what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Location: Used to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction for your city, and it stays on your device. The one exception: if you publish an imam profile for a mosque, that mosque's coordinates are stored on our server so users can get directions to it.
• Microphone: Used to record your recitation (echo / voice-follow feature). Recordings stay on your device and are never uploaded.
• Speech recognition: Used to highlight the verse you are reciting and auto-turn the page. Processed by your device's service.
• Recognition improvements: To make verse-following more accurate for everyone, the app may send small, anonymous text corrections — a real Quran word and how the recognizer misheard it (e.g. "بسم" → "بم"), with your random device ID. No audio and no personal data are ever sent. These words are merged across users to improve recognition. To erase what your phone has sent, use "Delete my data" in the app, or email us at the address below.
• Notifications: To remind you of prayer times, adhkar, and daily reminders.
• Device ID: A random number generated on your device to recognize you without a login. It contains no personal information.
• Messages you send: When you contact us, post a dua, or submit a janazah announcement, we store what you send so we can display and review it.
• Optional account: If you sign in (email, Google, or Apple) we store your email, display name, and account ID on tnafs.net for cross-device sync.
• Crash reports: If the app hits an error it may send the error message, stack trace, platform, OS version, and app version to our server so we can fix bugs. No device identifier, email, or recordings.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not ask for your real name, email, or password for normal use.
• We do not track you across other apps and we show no ads.
• We never sell or share your data with third parties.

User-submitted content

All public content (duas, janazah announcements, the library) is reviewed by an admin before publishing. The exception: imams we have verified in advance may post janazah announcements immediately; everything else waits for approval. An admin can remove any content after it is published.

Your rights

You can delete your data from Settings → Privacy → "Delete my data", or delete your account from My Account. Uninstalling the app removes local data on that device.
